2020 Ford Puma?

Last Updated:

Looks like someone already came up with a computer illustration of what the small upcoming Ford Fiesta-based crossover could look like.
And it does seem pretty realistic when compared to the prototype.
Ford is also rumored to change the name from Ecosport to Puma. At least in Europe.
Where the Puma name was used on a Fiesta-based small coupe produced between 1997 and 2002.
What a weird trend… Using old sport coupe names for new SUVs.
Like Mitsubishi with the Eclipse.

  1. Nice looking rig, though the rear slope looks much more rakish on the prototype vs. the illustration. Perhaps the EcoSport will have an upright rear end, and the Puma will effectively be an EcoSport "coupe"? Hopefully we don't see an Escape-based "Cougar" crossover coupe next 🙁

  2. It's not really a weird trend. FWD sports coupes gave way to sedans with fastback styling, which are now giving way to crossovers with fastback styling. Just changing' with the times. A Ford Ecosport "coupe" is the new sports coupe.
