1965 Buick Riviera.

Another cool find on the Bring a Trailer site is this fantastic 1965 Buick Riviera that was sold for $ 37,250.
Sure, the seats are much newer than the car and the “burl woodgrain trim” is also not original. Although I would usually hate any mods on these old cars, I think they work here. This is a luxury car after all and the wood trim doesn’t seem out of place here and seems really well done. The newer seats offer power adjustments and especially, hardest (not seen in the photos). Although the seat belts are still the old type lap belts only.
$37 250 isn’t cheap. But think of what you can currently get for this price. A Honda HRV? A loaded Accord? A Buick Encore GX? Nothing you can currently get for that money will have the amount of class and fantastic design the 1965 Riviera has to offer.
If it was good enough for Mr Spock in 1963, it’s good enough for many of us in 2023.
Scotty, beam me up to a world where classic Rivieras and Toronados still roam the streets. I wonder if that’s Spock next to Leonard Nimoy’s personal ride
I still wonder what would have happened if Cadillac hadn’t passed up on this. This would have been their first push into the personal luxury/grand tourer market and could have set them up better than focusing only on land yachts.
The Rivieras was the best Luxurious cars buick ever made
That was one a the greatest car designs ever…a masterpiece.
