Chevrolet Trax test drive coming up.
Last Updated:
I have been driving around in a new Chevrolet Trax for a few days. I will soon post a full review.
This is one of the best deals in town these days. The version I had the pleasure to drive is a 2025 Chevrolet Trax Activ, which comes with a 1.2 Liter Turbo engine and a 6-speed Automatic transmission. This is a front-wheel drive vehicle, and AWD is not available. If you need that Chevrolet will try and sell you the more expensive Trailblazer.
My test car had only 2 options. One is the $ 895 “Sunroof Package”, which unsurprisingly includes, you guessed it, a sunroof. And somehow, wireless charging. The other option is the $795 “Driver Confidence package”. That one includes stuff that should really be standard on a new Chevrolet these days, like “Rear cross traffic alert”, “Lane change alert”, “Side blind zone alert”, “rear park assist” and Adaptive cruise control.
For a total of $25,990 before a $ 1095 destination charge. I’d say that is a fantastic deal. The 2025 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport starts at $27,450. Without a sunroof.
While I think the Chevrolet Trax Activ should be on anyone looking for an affordable hatchback list, it is not perfect.
I will explain later…
