Lincoln Town Car video.

Last Updated:

This is a very short video compilation of illustrations previously posted on this site. Showing what a new Lincoln TownCar could look like.

Th Lincoln TownCar was part of daily life in most American cities for many years. They were for many a step up from a taxi, driving millions back and forth to the airports and various locations. The rest were sold to older people who missed the soft ride and the size of 1970s American cars.

The Lincoln TownCar was produced from 1981 to 2011, through 3 generations. It represented an old-fashioned American idea of a luxury car and was never as modern or sophisticated as the foreign competition. However, it was also quite a bit cheaper than a large BMW or Mercedes sedan.

Of course, Lincoln doesn’t currently have a large car platform they could use for a new TownCar. Turning the Mustang platform into a luxury car could be tough…

With Ford canceling (for now) their large 3-row EV SUV, a large electric platform would probably have also to wait a while.

Meanwhile, Cadillac is pushing its EV transition with the new Ultium platform. And even working on 2 all-new sedans based on that platform. Lincoln seems so far behind that it’s almost sad.

An all-SUV lineup in the US with a very timid approach to any form of electrification. In contrast, everyone else is pushing ahead.

If not in the US, they could always sell it in China as GM does with a second-generation Cadillac CT6 and a redesigned Buick Lacrosse.

  1. Lincoln should simply reboot its 2011 Towncar model and SELL THAT LOOK-ALIKE AS A 2025 MODEL. MANY PEOPLE DISLIKE ALL THE OTHER LOOK-ALIKE “SEALTH BOMBERS” that LOOK UGLY TO MANY PEOPLE..!! ### AND never mind those BLINDING LED HEADLIGHTS..!!! <<< Go back to mellow yellow headlights. The Chinese who make those LED's don't care about Americans going BLIND from LED lights.!!
