2026 Honda Passport pricing.

Last Updated:

Honda released the official pricing of the all-new 2026 Passport.

Of course, things are more expensive, by at least $2000, over the previous generation. But it seems well worth it. As the new Passport looks 100 times better than the outdated 7-year-old model it replaces.

Even though the focus is now on the Trailsport versions there is still a less off-road-oriented model available called the RTL. Which still includes the wonderful Honda 3.5 Liter V5, AWD, heated seats, a 9-speaker sound system with a sub, and more. However, you’ll have to step up to the Trailsport if you want the panoramic sunroof.

At over $46,000, the new Honda Passport is far from the cheapest mid-sized SUV option. The Mazda CX-70, which also comes with a 6-cylinder engine, starts at $40,500. The 5-seater Passport is also curiously more expensive than the larger 7-seater larger Honda Pilot. Which starts at $40,200. The EX-L trim at $43.500 is still cheaper than the base Passport. I guess Honda priced the new Passport at the high end of its category. Just make sure you really don’t want 7 seats before you get one…

Gas mileage is of course not great. But we’re talking about a powerful creamy smooth large 3.5 Liter V6 engine here. And these are always quite thirsty no matter what. The last time I test drove a Honda Passport I got 27 to 28MPG on the highway. While it was then rated at 24. However, the 19MPG City number was impossible to achieve no matter what. As usual with a big V6, the average around town was more like 15 or 16MPG. Which is OK. People who buy these aren’t really expecting much better.

  1. Marketing-wise, this makes zero sense. Honda should make the RLT the volume leader. And with that, make the three interior color options and the special colors (orange and mint green) also available in a higher RLT trim. Instead, they made all the decent non-offroading features only available with the Trailsport. Who needs panoramic sunroof with their offroad tires and skid plates? I’m going to say in 1 yr, there will be a change up on their trims.
