The illustration on top shows what a production version of last year’s Jaguar Type 00 Concept could look like. And it’s not pretty…
While it seems awkward, clumsy, and yes, ghastly, it actually seems pretty close to the spy shot of the real car we’ve also seen a few weeks ago. And of course, heavily influenced by the very controversial concept.
It also doesn’t look that big. This makes sense since Jaguar has been referring to it as a Sport sedan. Not really a replacement for the old XJ. The illustration shows a horrendous visibility from these super narrow windows. For that “tank-like feeling” most luxury car buyers crave, I guess.
The new sedan is rumored to offer “at least” 300 miles of range for a price of around $200,000. Which isn’t that great and far less than what Lucid has been offering for years. For far less money.
The concept was a very radical change for the Jaguar brand but not the craziest concept ever. The production model will also have 4 proper doors.
The concept interior also looked like a typical concept interior design. And it’s really hard to tell what will make it into the transition to a production car.
The camouflage on the prototype is pretty heavy, and the final production version could still look good.
