Chrysler Cordoba.

We all know New Chryslers are coming. This has been the official word for a while now. A long while. And yet, nothing new…

At least we heard there is a new SUV/Crossover model coming” in 2025″soon”. Which will share its platform with the new Jeep Wagoneer S, as well as a heavily revised Chrysler Pacifica and a new EV minivan. However, that will not be available for a few years.

However, what would really be fun, and probably not a money maker, is a new large coupe. Which wouldn’t be that hard to engineer and design, since it could easily be based on the new 2025 Dodge Charger. A new Chrysler Cordoba coupe that doesn’t need to have 670HP. One that would focus on comfort and not crazy speed.

The new 2025 Dodge Charger is the comeback of the big American coupe. Like we had in the 1970s. It is not only longer than the Challenger it replaces, but at over 206 inches long, it is about the size of a Mercedes S-Class!

A new Chrysler coupe could and should, of course, be called a “Cordoba“. Which would be both fun and weird. While the original 1st generation Cordoba from the late 1970s was longer than the new Charger at 215 inches, the shorter 2nd generation was pretty close. At around 2010 inches.

A big, luxurious 2-door Chrysler could be around the corner if they wanted to. Of course, there isn’t much of a market these days for a car like this. We’ll have to see how the new 2025 Charger does. So far, it’s not doing great at all, but it is also marketed as a muscle car. And muscle car fans don’t buy EVs (at least not yet). I think once the controversy about the lack of V8 dies down, it could be a pretty popular model. Especially when a more affordable inline 6-cylinder version becomes available. As well as the new 4-door sedan. Which is an extremely stylish and also practical car with its giant rear hatch.

Something that could be a much more stylish alternative to SUVs we see everywhere. A more luxurious Chrysler version could pick up a few customers who want something fancier. Something almost no one else offers these days.

My old friend Ricardo woul dprobably agree…

  2. I wish they would produce a coupe! I am so sick and tired of all these SUVs and crossovers. It’s like they don’t know how to design a nice looking car anymore.
