2027 BMW X1.

The recent introduction of the all-new BMW iX3 was the beginning of a new design language for BMW. Very soon, it seems most of their current models will adopt redesigned front ends and new taillights. With grilles and headlights similar to the new iX3 and upcoming i3 EV sedan.

While the first in line will probably be the 5 Series sedan and wagon, the compact X1 is not far behind. As well as all other BMW models.

I think that the new front end will look fine on the smaller X1. However. Too bad BMW still cannot help adding so much black plastic crap all over. Which will be even more obvious with the much smaller grilles from the Neue Klasse designs.

These illustrations really show how the new front end is basically 90% of that Neue Klasse design language. The rest of the iX3 is still very similar to this X1. It seems all BMW has to do is craft the new front end and redesigned tail lights for all their existing models, and they’ll have a whole family of “Neue Klasse-like” designs very quickly.

I am still very curious to see the new i3 sedan. As it seems its design a nd proportions will be much more modern and “new” than the iX3 SUV.
