BMW iX3.

Today, we have more photos and info on the all-new BMW iX3 electric SUV. And it all seems pretty good.
However, that design is still pretty clumsy and heavy-handed at times. At least on these official photos. Maybe that’s a different story in real life. Let’s hope so.
The interior is generally much cleaner and less gimmicky than the current crop of BMW interiors. However, some weird touches remain here and there. Lik eif they just can’t help it…
The first model offered is the iX3 50x Drive with 463HP. That will cost around $60,000 in the US. Which is not bad at all for an AWD model with over 400 miles of range, EPA. It will be followed by an RWD version soon after which will cost around $55,000. Which is actually excellent pricing. And about the same as a Hyundai Ioniq 5 Limited RWD. However, the BMW might not include all the features that are standard in the Ioniq 5 Limited for that price.
I personally think the iX3 will be a hit for BMW. Especially at these prices. The current BMW X3 starts at around $51,000. The $4000 premium for the new iX3 seems to be worth it. The more powerful 393HP X3 M50 starts at over $65,000. Or over $5000 more than the 463HP AWD iX3. An even better deal…
And no matter what, the end of BMW’s ghaslty huge grilles is to be celebrated…
