Buick Electra L7 sedan.

We saw the all-new Buick Electra L7 sedan a few weeks ago. And today we get to see its interior. Which is, unfortunately, very similar to about 99% of cars currently sold in China.
The new Buick has the usual big Tesla-style center screen. With an additional one behind the steering wheel. A setup that everyone seems to adopt these days. And that’s not about to change since future VW and Hyundai interiors will feature a similar design. It is also far less attractive than the wide curved screen Buick currently offers.
As you can see, it seems Buick will offer some sort of “Pet mode” in the new sedan. Finally, someone does after years of it being available on all Tesla models (And Rivian, I guess?)
As mentioned earlier, the new Electra L7 is not an EV, but a “range extended” sedan. Which is pretty close to a PHEV. It is powered by a 1.5 Liter Turbo engine and comes with a 40.2 kWh battery. For a crazy total range of over 850 miles with an EV-only range of almost 190 miles. That is, of course, from the local Chinese test system. Still, a 140/150 miles EV range EPA would be quite amazing over here.
Unfortunately, not enough people want sedans in the US anymore. That means the new Buick isn’t coming to North America. That’s also why VW canceled the ID.7 sedan over here. And that’s why the Ioniq 6 sedan is far less popular than the Ioniq 5.
Sad but true…
