Audi EV Concept.

No name yet. But we already know Audi will show a brand new concept car this week, and this is it.

The production version of the new concept will be based on the new Porsche 718 EV. Which has been delayed a few times already. This new Audi will slot between the old TT and the R8. That’s probably mostly due to the fact that it is an EV, and therefore more expensive. Just like Porsche is already charging $20,000 more for the Taycan EV over the previous ICE generation.

The 2023 Audi TT started at around $54,000 in the US. Adding $20,000 to it would, of course, put it a bit closer to the $162,000 R8 starting price that same year. Sort of…. Let’s hope “between TT and R8” doesn’t mean something over $100,000. Although you would think the Audi would be a bit cheaper than the Porsche 718 EV.

So far, the design is pretty blah. It actually looks like an Audi sports car from 10 or 15 years ago. Maybe that’s the point.
