From Brazil we have these new patent images showing a new BMW sedan design. It is said to be the next 3 series.
The next BMW 3 series will be a new generation of the gas model. While a new i3 EV, will be based on the all-new Neue Klasse architecture. It will basically be the sedan version of the new iX3, with a very similar interior and specs. Howecver, EV range will be even better sicne the sedan design will be more aerodinalmic.
The patent drawings above don’t really look like a production car to me. As they are way too close to the Neue Klasse Sedan concept. However, they are actually different. The rear lights, front end, and other details are not the same as the concept. Could it be that BMW found a way to actually have a production design that is that close to the cool concept?
The bottom photo is also from BMW, showing a prototype during testing. One that also doesn’t truly look like the patent images, with a much softer design.
It seems that the prototype could be the next 3 series, while the patents are showing the production version of the EV concept. That means BMW could soon have one of the most modern-looking EVs on sale. Since this would indeed be a very striking design. One that also maintains a strong BMW personality.
Of so, this new BMEW sedan could look quite amazing…
