Discover the new 2027 Mercedes GLB Interior.

Mercedes just released some official photos of the all-new 2027 GLB Interior. I guess they’re not ready to show us the exterior yet for some reason.

And of course, it is the exact same interior as the CLA sedan (2nd image) we just saw a few months ago. And very similar to the one in the new Mercedes GLC EV we also saw recently. It seems from now on, most Mercedes interiors will look pretty much the same. They think it’s so great, they’re not even trying anymore.

As in the new Mercedes CLA, the passenger screen is an option and only standard on top trims. Which is good. However, this still does look fantastic. I do have to admit it is an improvement over he current aging GLB. The current model has too much plastic chrome everywhere. And the myriad of small stars on the cheesy and cheap-looking door trims are pretty ghastly.

Still, they didn’t completely abandon the idea, and the panoramic glass roof is still covered by small Mercedes logos all over the place. Which is just so wordy and borderline vulgar. I guess that’s what they mean by “proud of ownership”. Which must include making sure your friends and neighbors know you bought a Mercedes.

Powertrains are rumored to mirror the rhetoric CLA sedan. That means a 1.5 Liter hybrid or a pure EV.

We’ll see the exterior on December 8th. Which will unfortunately include that new huge Mercedes grille up front…

  1. I recently had a CLA as a rental and was surprised how much I liked the car and the interior. I think the old interior was more appealing to look at than this.

    Screens scream cheap!

  2. Never drove a new-gen CLA. But sat in one in a showroom. Looked & felt cheesy. Mercedes seems to have lost its sense of timelessness and class. Also, while I love ambient lighting and on-vehicle branding, Mercedes has lately gone way overboard on both.
