2027 Hyundai Santa Fe Reveals a Redesigned Cabin.

The Hyundai Santa Fe seems to me like it just came out. I guess maybe that’s because I haven’t seen that many around since 2024. No matter what, it is time for that usual mid-cycle refresh and a new face is coming. However, from this new spy photo, it looks like the exterior modifications will also come with a new interior.

This new interior will of course feature Hyundai‘s new Pleos Conect infotainment system. Which might be better than the current one. However, it makes all new Hyundai interiors look the same. Since they all have the same big tablet screen in the middle and a long smaller rectangular one in front of the steering wheel. And completely unoriginal set up that’ll be spreading through their entire lineup, which is really too bad.

The current interior looks just fine. And much more original and upscale. I am never a big fan of these big center tablet screens and so far this really doesn’t look like an improvement…

When Hyundai revealed the current Santa Fe, it was a pretty dramatic redesign. The previous generation’s smooth, conservative styling was replaced with a boxy, upright design featuring H-shaped lighting and squared-off proportions. The whole thing looked pretty striking in photos. However, it is a different story in person.  As certain materials don’t quite deliver the premium impression. There’s also a heavy use of black plastic cladding, which can come across as more cost-driven than intentional.

The previous-generation Santa Fe sold over 131,000 units in the U.S. in 2023. After the redesign, it dropped to around 113,000 units in 2024. And 2025 hasn’t shown a strong rebound.

We haven’t seen the official exterior yet, but to me, the new interior looks like a step backward. At least from the spy shot above.

We’ll see…

  1. No more column shifter?
I can’t tell from the photo, I hope it’s not integrated on the screen like Teslas.
I see row of physical buttons, I guess Hyundai is listening to customers somewhat.👍
