I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Nimoy and got a personal tour of his home. It was just before the first Star Trek movie was released. His son (Adam) was my roommate at UC Santa Barbara. Mr. Nimoy flew us up to school in his private plane on a Sunday afternoon… But first, he gave me a tour of the house. And his den, which featured the famous green putty ears in a glass case. Also a huge a wall of awards (including Spock on a Wheaties box!) He was very kind and gracious. A really cool guy. There will never be another like him. LLAP, dear friend.
