new BMW 3 series Sports Wagon
Last Updated:
As predictable as all other BMW wagons, but very nice looking nonetheless.
The new wagon comes out in Europe at the end of this year.
The good news is that it is coming to he US in the spring of 2013.
For those of us who need a bit more room, but still enjoy driving…
A much classier alternative to the X3.
Looks great and will probably drive great. The X3 is a joke, as is the above mentioned 1 Series.
It's nice! But why is getting so big?
The lease on my 2011 Sport Wagon is up at the end of 2014. I'll definitely consider it if they bring either of those Diesel engines to the US. However I'm not expecting that they will.
Nice looking wagon.
What's the purpose of the X1 again?
I have the 3 series wagon and love it. No reason to own the X3 when you can have the wagon. Fun to drive plus space to actually carry things. What's not to like?

It's bigger but not by much. If it follows the 3 series sedan, then it is also lighter.

The new 3-series Sedan gets 36MPG highway. Who needs the smell & inconvenience of a Diesel when a 4-dr sports car gets gas mileage like that!!?
Because in Europe diesel is not at an inconvenience, doesen't smell, is cheaper to buy than gas and gets 57MPG in 320ED trim.
In the US Diesel smells, it's greasy, is available ONLY at the filthy truck stops where garbage trucks & big rigs fill up; and it costs the same as gasoline. The US Government seems to be in bed with a lot of "alternative energy" upstarts, so I doubt the way Diesel & Gas are taxed & regulated in the US will change anytime soon. For now I'll stick with good old gasoline!
