I think it's a Talbot Tagora, made during early 1980's. As far I remember I just saw one or two during all my life (I'm 37).
Talbot Tagora
It looks like a Sterling/Rover

As said, Talbot Tagora. Absolutely forgotten car….
Yeah, the Tagora. I did see several of these in the street back in the day
Yep, Talbot Tagora. It had a difficult gestation being developed in parallel with Chrysler Europe imploding. The car ended-up being introduced under the ownership of PSA (Peugeot)
as the others have said, Talbot Tagora.
i love this school of design. it could almost be a long wheelbase Maserati Biturbo. not sure if Guigiaro designed this one, but it has the same smooth, clean surfaces as his original Golf and Passat.
Talbot Tagora, a name it received after the Peugeot buy-out of Chrysler-Simca.
Talbot Tagora… Are you in love with Simca and Talbot, Vince ?
Sterling (A British Honda)
It's the Talbot Tagora, produced between 1980 and 1983. It was so
staggeringly unsuccessful that fewer than 20,000 were ever built.

Guess I am to late – but I instantly recognized it as a Talbot Tagora. Very few were ever built and saw the last one over a decade ago. Compared to its competition it was often called to be bland, but I like its clean and sharp lines.
yeah, the lines looks like Rover Sterling, but size wise seems too big for a Rover.
As someone who has never seen a Talbot Tagora, imagine my horror that a common Talbot sedan looks nearly identical to the much pricier Maserati Biturbo/425 of the same time period! Even the taillights are the same!
It's the same size as the original K-Cars, and they could have used this styling as they paid for it.
New Chinese Volvo.
Talbot Tagora A.K.A. model C9
