-EX — 3.5L V6 A/T 4×4 $29,690
The base model starts at about $5000 less than a Toyota Highlander. (the Toyota has standard Automatic)
It's interesting that now the Sorento is based on the Santa Fe chassis it gains a 3rd row seat, yet Hyundai has dropped the 3rd row option from the Santa Fe for 2010.
Lots of car for the money. It is a good design as well…Something a man would drive.
…And it has a Vince-Approved sunroof!
Prices are less than I expected. I would have paid up to $5000 more for styling like this (than for a Highlander or Pilot).
Slow news day. Who cares?
Interestingly, if you price this thing out compared to a Toyota Venza V6, both of the prices are just over $31,000. The specs are darn close too. I am surprised Kia did not price the loaded versions of these lower.
It should prove to be very nice!!!
I can't wait to test drive one…
if you want the V6 you have to shell out $28K…!!! What?
how much was the 2009 with V6?
what are they trying to do, stick everybody with 4-cyl
if you what to TOW you buy Highlander… i guess
Vince, I just got word that Saab is not dead just yet. Spyker has yet made another deal with gm. And supposedly "several" parties are interested. Spyker's offer is valid until 5:00pm EST today
Cool a Toyota Highlander rival with the price that cost less than the overpriced Rave4.
It should be less if its made in Korea where they pay their workers a bowl of rice a day.
Saw one in the airport in Atlanta, the styling seems a little anonymous, but the interior looked nice and the sunroof looks great. The pricing makes it very attractive.
2 bowls of rice a day now…Inflation, you know.
For the price of the V6 you can get a Toyota Sienna which is far superior.
Niice looking KOREAN CAR. Its taken a long time for anyone to take Japanese cars serious, I don't know if I could do it

No thanks I don't want to worry about being killed because of floor mats. And besides, how you know did you drive the new Sorento?
Wow it amazes me how Kia used to be and now. This is amazing. I have tooken them seriously. Very it was the Cadenza that did it.
Scared of floormats? Wow! grow up!
Hollywood should make a horror flick about car floormats! Call it Floormat the 13th.
"Scared of floormats? Wow! grow up!"
what you mean grow up? Don't get salty because Toyota's quailty ain't like it used to be.
Personally I rather have this than any van. Grow up? Yeah too bad the children who got killed in the Lexus ES rental want have a change to grow up.
"Scared of floormats? Wow! grow up!" What's wrong? Scared that Toyota's quailty may go in the adverage list? And Hyundai/Kia may surpass them? Weak commet by the way. Can't talk about Kia's copying anymore since someone one on here can get cars from Acuras to Volovs. So this is the best you can do now?
Just move the friggin floormat…Are you all that weak and stupid? ALL floormats have this same problem. You sound like a bunch of women.
Anyway…..
This thing seems a good value at least in the lower trim levels. Well done.
When we had floormats getting hung up on the gas pedal we just moved the floormats…Are people now too stupid figure that out?
My Lexus has two snaps at the back that secure the floormats so they can't slip up against the pedals. ALL car companies should have this.
This does get pricy in higher trim levels but the base models are pretty stacked with options already.
"When we had floormats getting hung up on the gas pedal we just moved the floormats…Are people now too stupid figure that out?"
Maybe it's because people expected better from Toyota since it's the best car in the world. So if that's the case, people are not stupid. Now other brands yeah but Toyota is the best automaker in the world they never have problems right? Therefore, people expect they will never get recalled.
It's not just Toyota that has this problem…All cars can have the gas pedal caught in a floormat…Man, grow a brain.
Yeah All cars can have this problem but no one does but Toyota. right? Kia's coming up and I rather pick this over that ugly highlander anytime. Why not because of the floormats but because Kia's quaitly is good enough for me plus it will standout on the streets but not a highlander that you see ever 12 seconds. I'm glad for Hyundai/Kia because I don't have to get an everyday 12 second Camry or Highlander. I can get something rare.
