As you can see, the Chinese version of the Opel Astra is almost out.
GM is said to be considering the Exelle for the US market as well.
A Buick that small might almost sound crazy, but not as much as the 6 speed manual Regal they announced last week.
So who knows…
Is it me, or does this look just like a Nissan Versa??
This doesn't look very premium. I'm not sure this is what they need. I hope they find a way to put some the Buick flare into its styling. I am a Buick fan and look forward to seeing great things from them. I'm only 26 by the way.
Okay, wow. Is Buick changing their image practically overnight? GM management is ignoring the stodgy old Buick image completely, and they're developing very impressive cars. If a Scirocco and a Mazda 3 hooked up, this would be the good looking offspring. I like this a lot. I still think it's going to take a lot to get thirty-somethings into a Buick dealership, but if Cadillac and Hyundai can successfully repair their image by offering good products, then so can Buick.
That's funny. The talights came from the Civic, Cadenza and Audi A4. No one said this looks like an Audi but when the Cadenza was on here it looks like an Audi.
It looks like a Subaru hatch. Gee why is Buick playing Saturn's roll or Chevy's. Aren't they supposed to compete with Lexus and BMW. Why are they making C segment hatches?
It's like all GM is recognizing is Buick.
It might be good enough to be a Buick but it won't sell just like the Opel Astra.

Because Saturn is going away and Chevy has the Cruise… or "Cruze" (lame) and no one will tolerate rebadged vehicles between brands anymore. GM has this one already developed through Opel and it's been a huge success in Europe so they need to find a place for it somewhere in the U.S. . And because Buick needs to offer something for younger people to buy so that Buick can cultivate them as loyal customers and eventually upsell them a Regal or LaCrosse. No one's saying that Buick has to follow the exact same playbook as Lexus. Size-wise, this this is about the same as the BMW 1-series.
