How new is the “new” Gold Plus?

Not that new. I’ll say it’s even much “less new” than the “new” Golf.
The top pic and the beige interior are the “new” one.
You be the judge…

At VW, Form Follows MALfunction.
There is no “plus” to buying a new Golf or any VW product … unless you consider frequent mechanical failures and indifferent dealer service on overpriced cars to be a “plus.”
However much these so-called “new” designs may disappoint us, just remember that the worst part of buying and owning a VW has got to be the dealer experience, especially here in Boston.
So they just stuck the Tiguan interior in a taller Golf? Lame.

– i like that! haha
At least it’s more of a refresh than Chysler ever does. Changing just the tail lights doesn’t cut it for me.

Exactly. Where I work four of my co-workers have had FOUR VW products have been lemoned. Two Touaeggs, a Jetta, and an A4.
VWs suck.
“Vw’s suck”:
I agree. A family member had an A6 that blew the engine in the first 6 months. And that car was pampered. It took over 4 months to get a new one under the warranty. Immediately after, she sold it and is now happily driving a Honda.
VW has the nice finish and overall quality feel to it, and perform rather well. Reliability?? Another question.
If you like spending your precious hard earned money on car repairs, this is your car.
I had very few problems with my VW and now it is 10 years old. The service experience does suck, but so do so many dealers. If you own a BMW or Lexus, you get better service.
Noted right from the start. This isn’t a new Golf series but a mid-life makeover of the existing series. Its the first Golf to have an extensive restyle mid-cycle.
