Lexus IS 250 Convertible

Last Updated:

It took years, but it’s finally here.
No 350 yet. The 250 will be expensive enough.

It does look pretty good. Kind of like the Volvo. And it will be competing with it as well.

  1. I don’t like it at all. It looks like what it is, an afterthought. It doesn’t have any continuity to the shape at all. And Toyota product or not, I bet this thing is going to rattle like crazy in a few years!

  2. Why do car companies these days insist on having hardtop convertibles!? Hardtops make cars like this look extremely awkward…the lines don’t flow at all. It would’ve looked SO much better with a soft top.

  3. I know this is supposed to be cool because it’s a coupe-cabrio, but I like the sedan version better. It looks okay.

  4. The tail lights seem like an alternate version of the sedan’s refreshed tail lights. They have a general similarity to the pre-refresh tails. They look good….unlike the rest of the car.

But only the 250? What a waste of time. If it’s going to be expensive, it should be 350 C only.

  5. All of the hardtop convertibles look the same. And none of them look all that good. This looks not good at all.

  6. Get out your white belt and hairpice, daddys got a new drop top. Lets Scoot on down to St. Petersburg beach Florida.

  7. I never thought I’d say this, but it actually looks WORSE than the SC convertible! Comparing it to the C70 is an extreme insult to the Volvo. At least the roof flows smoothly on that one.

  8. Wow, suddenly the Lexus IS looks dated. Really, this CC some how makes the whole line up look aged, and I am not saying in a positive way. Does anyone else get that impresson?

  9. The IS 4 door sedan does look like a very good car. The convertable version will probably look better in pictures that are not taken in a studio.

I agree with you and ne1butu. These hardtop roofs are kill the proportions completely, since they’re designed to be compact enough fit in their storage area, leaving actual style out to dry. I really didn’t think the standard ragtop was broke.
