Next Megane

The Renault Megane will be all new next year.
To better compete with the new Astra and also the Mazda3.
I think Nissan should find a way to sell this over here. How about this one instead of the dorky looking Stanza?
This could go head to head against the next Saturn Astra.
The problem is cost/price. Again.
A well equipped Astra is $20 000. Which is what many people expect to pay for an Altima…

The 3 door (At least I hope it’s a 3 door) would never stand a chance here.

Um….hi, the Stanza is no longer sold here. That would be the VERSA.
LOL Vince.. the Stanza hasn’t been sold here since the Altima arrived in 1993. the SENTRA is probably the dorky car you’re referring to.. and it would make sense for Nissan to get this since the current Sentra is based on Megane machanicals. Too bad the 4-door hatch looks so much like the Mazda3. The 3-door would make a nice 200SX though!

Anyone else noticed that this Megane is way different than their current model?
Current one is weird looking, but it’s different and packaged pretty good. However, this design moves the car back to standard mainstream design.
Not bad looking, just doesn’t look unique anymore. IMHO.

If they raised that 2dr for added gound clearance it would make a great “Rouge” coupe . Think “BMW” active series X6.

Stanza hasn’t been sold here for at least 15 years. This is the next Versa!
This would be a great swap for that blah Sentra they currently sell. I mean really: Versa, Altima, Maxima, all great…so what happened in the compact segment?
Even then, the current Sentra probably could have been a nice hatch. But Americans can’t stand to have anything that isn’t a notchback (unless it’s an SUV…ope! That’s off the table now with the gas prices!!)
