How about that….
I must say, the design actually grows on me….

the character lines along the side look a little odd. the car looks like it’s broken right down the middle and it’s sagging…
I thought the same thing when I saw the first picture. It looks like a soda can that has been slightly stepped on. The lines really don’t help hide the fact that this is a simple five door hatch.
It reminds me alot of the Hyundai i30. Look at the side profile. I guess that the i30 even looks better, because its design is cleaner. Thought, I would never say that about a Seat.
But the biggest disappointment about the new Ibiza is the fact that there is no resemblance to its predecessor, except for the front end.
I personally love this car, but then I’m Spanish and I live in Barcelona (where they are built), so I’m probably biased. What I find surprising is how big it is for its segment (the B or supermini). I just saw one this morning parked next to a Fiat Grande Punto (which was by far the largest car of the B-segment when it came out), and this new Ibiza dwarfed it. I don’t know if that’s good or bad, because it might step on the shoes of its C-segment brother, the Seat Leon
