2009 VW Golf

Last Updated:

When I say 2009, I mean for the European market. Chances are, we’ll get this around 2015 if we’re lucky.

This is still just an illustration, but it looks really close to all the spy shots we’ve already seen of that car.
Which is to say, the usual Golf redesign: the same but different. Never a big leap from one generation to the other.
And nothing ever exiting…

  1. wow looks like a 1978 rabbit, what a boring company, just like every other German car except bmw, they don’t keep up with the times.

  3. There real purpose of this redesign was not a modification of its style (which should have been addressed) but rather a reworking of its production. This was meant to cut the number of man hours and production steps which in turn would lead to a price cut. I wonder it there will be a big difference in price when it is finally introduced.

  4. Jones, Germans are white so I would expect you like them as much as the English. Anyway, your a knuckle dragger since this car has a loyal following and I own one.

  5. Douchebag really is a douchebag. He should be flushed.

Anyway, the 09 golf may not be exciting exterior design. But I think a 2.0l TDI motor that can get mid 50’s MPG on the highway and mid 40’s in the city is pretty damn exciting. Even with diesel prices through the roof I calculate this would save me roughly 50% monthly in fuel prices.

As for the design, the golf has always been about practical functionality not about turning heads or keeping up the (douchebag) joneses. It’s not any
