I like it too. But the concept was so stunning, the production version was bound to let me down a little.
I agree with Brian. It’s really too bad they couldn’t just put out the concept. Regardless, the production version is still great looking, and is probably Volvo’s best entry in any luxury segment. Dare I say class leading, even?
a fantastic design talk. I love this new design and now also have great respect for that designer, because of his honesty and talent in actually, truthfully describing the design concepts and functions in meaningful ways. 99 times out of 100, these ‘design talks’ end up being half marketing BS and have meaningless drivel.
Good find, Vince, thanks for sharing.
Hot vehicle. Not quite the concept the production versions rarely are.
Vince, Thanks for sharing this video. This is by far the best video that I’ve ever seen a car designer explaining the whole design concept and inspiration. Man, this guy is really good!!
Love the rear LED lights 🙂
your biased burlapp for being a baby that I can afford an X3 and you can.
Ford should keep Volvo a thier premier brand, Lincoln is about gone.
The Ford Escape is sadly also a much better choice than the ass-looking X3.
I like this a lot too but wish they would have made 100% sure there was no resemblance to the Mazda CX-9…the rear quarter windows look identical as to me, as does the front bumber treatment. I realize the economic benefit of platform sharing, but this just takes something away for me…
