I really hope they improve the materials on this car. My friend tied a canoe on top of his FIT and the rope pealed off the rubber from the window which helps insulate…. cheap.
Not bad for a small car… I’m glad there’s FINALLY some small cars worth owning; even if the Fit is ugly as sin. 😀
Ehhh… does honda realize the steering wheel is on the wrong side?
About the canoe incident:
I guess your friend wasn’t thinking when he tied a canoe to the top of his Fit, or any other vehicle. The rubber insulation, also referred to as “weatherstrip” was designed for one purpose – sealing the window/door. If he wants to tie something to the roof, tell him to get something DESIGNED for the purpose – a roof rack.
Ho-hum. Nothing more than a nice little car without the personality of the Mini or the Fiat 500. Most likely it’ll have the same cheap feeling hard plastics found in the new Accord’s interior.
Thank GOD there is an armrest. Having a vehicle without an armrest is like having a bike with no handle bars. We’ll, maybe not. But you get the idea.

I agree. I had to order one on my 2001 Civic LX. Even then, it only supports my elbow. That’s so lame and cheap of Honda.
Write 9:42, Ok you don’t have to be obnoxious with your correctness. Actually, the weather-strip was not affected on my VW Gold when we did that last year. And would people stop with the quotations marks correctness BS. Leave that in the office.

Well sorry to say your friend is an idiot. They make racks for that purpose. I don’t care if you do it on a Chinese car, you are going to have some issues.
