Everybody’s testing. Part 2

This one is also a mistery.
What can they possibly be testing with this Lexus IS250?

Anyone knows???

  1. In Europe this baby is available with an oil-burner. Surely Lexus doesn’t expect Americans to be that sensible?

  2. By the looks of the wheelwell, could be some kind of suspension tweaking since it is lowered. I think it is for the is-f too.

  3. This is the Lexus version of the next Prius. Toyota is planning to lower emissions even more by removing the engine and making it cycle-powered. Check out the chain. Oh, and btw, its Rear wheel drive. – G

  4. What they should be doing is finding a way to make the IS look better. In person, these things are proportioned so oddly.

  5. This thing is proportioned oddly? Please… its better looking than a 3 sedan. If anything people probably say you are proportioned oddly.

  6. looks like a facelift to me. Sharks fin aeriel on the roof, new fog lamps, upswept top deck on the boootlid… Maybe it’s a hybrid too. Aside from the SC430 i think the IS is the only lexus not to offer battery power.
Not sure there will be a hybrid SC on this evolution, it’s not as though the car is brimming with spare room for an electric engine and power cell package, is it?

Are you kidding me? Well, I’m buff and you’re a poopiehead.

As for the car, I mostly like it a lot. However the front design is an unfortunate Toyota trademark, weak. And even though the rear of the 3 series sedan looks Korean, the car has a better curb presence than the IS.

  8. Maybe they’re upgrading their pathetic 2.5 litre to 3.0 used in other asian market.

What a joke… don’t they not understand how much sale they’re losing because of their puny engine… It’s one thing to be 50hp underpowered…

You’ve got some issues when a comparably priced G35 has 100 more bhp… and it can be schooled by pretty much ALL cars in the toyota line-up. What were they think?!?!
