“Standard taxi”

A company in Michigan is trying to sell this idea of a new design for a yellow Cab.
As far as I’m concerned, this is garbage.
If it ever makes it to the streets, run for the hills!

It looks like it walked right out of a cartoon!
Soon you’ll see the Roadrunner run past this and then a giant anvil will drop on it.
LOL
Isn’t our landscape trashed enough?
It looks like a horribly disguised Scion Xb. Maybe this is the first official shot of the next generarion! ha-ha… I own an ’04, so I think I can joke…

It looks like it’s made out of Legos.
It basically looks like what you would get if you asked a 6 year old to draw a car. Completely boxy, (almost) no surface detail, and wheels that are way too small for the size of the car.
Frankly, I’m kind of embarassed to know this is designed in my home state. Ditch this and just import those London cabs, at least those things look decent!
This POS is a roll over deathtrap:
vehicle height : wheel diameter ratio.
It looks like an Indian Hindustan trekker from the 1970’s.
I like the idea of standardized cabs. Crown Vics and Impalas are not at all suited for taxis. they take up too much room on the outside and are cramped inside if the cab has a barricade. I miss the old Checker Marathon cabs. London taxis, though are the best bar none.
looks like something from soviet russia – 30 years ago!
while i agree that the design is horrible, i do think its a good idea to have a standard taxi in the u.s. just maybe something cooler, or more modern
The exterior is really ugly to say the least, but all the hype about this “standard taxi” lies in it’s innovative interior.
I want london taxi look-a-like, with LNG, FCV or at least hybrid powertrain
Better to revive the Checker.
It looks really practical, but you have to get somebody to buy it and want to drive it to be a success. I would think that a modified minivan would have a better chance in the marketplace.
Did the designer run out of clay and build the original concept out of Lego? (Or is it April 1? Someone pinch me.)
Umm… umm… umm…
UUUUUMMMMMMMMM…
Help?
must be designed by the same GM dude who designed Aztec, Jeeps, dodges, and chevys…
Here’s an interesting article about it. What it lacks in looks, it makes up for in practicality.https://www.seattlepi.com/business/285743_taxi20.html
