VW Golf Cross

Same idea as the Cross Polo.
A bunch of exterior mods to make it look like an SUV.
To me, it works. Most people just want the SUV look anyway, and that’s what VW tries to offer.
I think they should do something like that in the US.
Although this looks is actually based on the Golf Plus. A model not sold over here…
there’s VW’s answer to the Honda Fit which is selling like hotcakes in the US.
I think we do have cars with that look… the Toyota Matrix/Pontiac Vibe and even the Scion Xb takes it closer to an SUV look with the boxy style. It is an interesting look compared to the plain-jane econo-box. In the case of economy cars uniqueness will always win over the crowd.

that’s a pretty cute design. with the 2.0, it would be a good replacement for my vibe, which i love, but is pretty short on power and a bit noisy.
Isn’t this the new ‘even smaller’ 4th generation Honda CR-V with Volvo’s new tailights due in 2012? OOOPPS!! Sorry,I’m in the wrong year!
