2026 VW Atlas interior.

Last Updated:

We saw a few photos of the all-new VW Atlas/Teramont a few weeks ago. Today we get a first look inside.

And of course, the main event in there is VW’s big screen. The exact same screen as in every single new VW model. The rest of the dashboard seems OK, but not really much better than the current generation interior that was redesigned over a year ago.

The new VW Atlas front end still looks quite weird. And I can already predict quite a few “what were they thinking” quotes from many reviewers. The rest of the new SUV is completely uninspired. This will be mostly for people who don’t what their friends to know they just bought a new car.

The profile looks a lot like a cross between the current VW Atlas, the new Buick Enclave, and the Toyota Grand Highlander. It would basically be very difficult to tell what it is from the side view.

We first saw the Atlas design back in 2013 as the VW CrossBlue concept. The production car was introduced 3 years later, and never really looked modern. Especially inside where most of the interior was already dated and felt pretty cheap. It was revised a few years ago and improved a bit.

We will be seeing the new Atlas pretty soon. Even if it isn’t available until 2025…
