2026 Jeep Compass.
Last Updated:

These are the first official photos I have seen of the all-new Jeep Compass for the 2026 model year. They all show the European market version of the new model. And probably the EV trim.
And so far, so good. The design seems to be very attractive and chunky. Just like in other modern Jeeps, the interior design seems to make an effort to integrate the center screen into the dashboard. Instead of that stupid table that we see in most other modern cars. One that is just stuck randomly on top of the dash.
There is no official info yet about the new Jeep. However, we already know it is based on the STLA Medium platform from Stellantis. That same platform is already being used in Europe for models like the Peugeot e-3008 and e-5008. As well as the Opel Grandland. It will also be used in the upcoming Citroen C5 Aircross and the redesigned Alfa Romeo Giulietta.
The new Jeep Compass should be available with gas, hybrid, and EV powertrains, depending on markets.
The all-new Compass will come out later this year in Europe first, with production scheduled to start in Italy. While the US version could be built in Canada starting in 2026. And this is where things might become a bit more complicated these days, since we now have huge tariffs on imported cars. Stellantis has already mentioned that the Compass could be late in North America. Since production at the Canadian plant has been on hold. If production ends up moving to the US, it will also be more expensive.
The current Jeep Compass is the second generation that came out in 2016. This means it will be about 10 years old when replaced in the US by the new one. And yet, sales were up last year with over 96,000 units sold in the US. Almost 85,000 already this year.
The new Compass is part of an all-new Jeep lineup that is coming soon. Which will include the all-new Renegade and its $25,000 EV version, as well as a new Cherokee. The new Recon is still scheduled to be introduced very soon. There is also a mysterious “mainstream utility vehicle” on the horizon. Whatever that means.
Even if it is built in the US, Jeep will give incentives at some point to lower the cost. No need to worry.
