2025 Jeep Recon.
Last Updated:
As you can see from the photo on top, the production Jeep Recon is shaping up to look exactly like the concept we saw a couple of years ago.
Just like the new Jeep Wagoneer S, it is based on the STLA Large platform. But is of course much more off-road oriented. I personally think it looks great and could be quite a hit for Jeep. Something that would offer at least 80% of the Wrangler personality without the horrible ride and handling could appeal to many.
We first saw images of the concept in late 2022. We’ve seen production versions of the 2025 Dodge Charger as well as the new Jeep Wagoneer S. The Wagoneer S is an expensive car starting at over $70,000. However, so far, only the top-of-the-line launch edition model. Of course, cheaper models are coming but most EV haters have focused on the high price. Which by the way would still be around $60,000 after incentives for a loaded model.
We should obviously expect other versions starting at a lower price next year.
As far as the Recon is concerned, the most expensive version might also be the only one available at first. It is expected to be priced lower than the Wagoneer S. After incentives, the new Recon EV could actually come down to the same price as the current Wrangler 4xe, which starts at $50,700. And only provides about 20 miles of EV range.
People currently love to complain about Stellantis. I think Jeep is on its way to recovery from a bad couple of years. The Wagoneer S and Recon are just around the corner. A brand new Compass will be unveiled very soon. And a brand new $25,000 EV from Jeep is also coming.
There will be at least 4 new Jeep models available by this time next year. Which is looking pretty good…
It looks about the size of a Renegade when there isn’t anything in the photo for scale.
The Wagoneer should’ve been a Chrysler.
Looks perfect for a full range competing with LR Defender.

Getting a lot of Bronco Sport vibes from this.
This should be made in Belvidere
