2026 Jeep Cherokee.

These are new illustrations showing what the next-generation Jeep Cherokee could look like.

We have already seen a few spy shots of the next Cherokee, and they do look pretty close to these. The spy shots also seem to show a car that will be very close to the new Jeep Wagoneer S. Except for the rear roofline. The 2 models could be very closely related.

The “current” Jeep Cherokee came out in 2014 and was discontinued last year. But an all-new one, based on the Stelantis STLA “large” platform is right around the corner.

The STLA Large platform will also be used for the Jeep Wagoneer S and Jeep Recon. As well as the new 2025 Dodge Charger among others. The Cherokee will obviously be smaller than all of these. Although still larger than the upcoming STLA Medium-based Jeep Compass.

Apparently, an official announcement is expected soon with production starting before the end of the year. While it will be built in Italy, the US model will be built somewhere else. That location is in flux right now due to possible huge tariffs.

Since the STLA platform can be used with ICE and EV powertrains, it seems the Cherokee could be competing against more other models than ever before. From the RAV-4/HR-V crowd to even the Tesla Model Y and the upcoming Rivian R2.

A new Cherokee has huge potential. Of course, last year’s sales numbers were pretty low as expected, with only 19,000 units sold. But it was still around 90,000 in 2021.

A brand new generation offered with ICE and EV powertrains could be more popular than ever…
