2021 Hyundai Sonata N-Line
Last Updated:
It looks like the sportier N-Line version of the new Hyundai Sonata is pretty much ready to go.
From these pictures, it also seems like it will have a pretty subtle look. Without spoilers or huge side skirts. Which is a good thing.
Inside, the seats look really nice.
Power will come from a 2.5 Liter Turbo with around 300HP ( I hear 294…) and an 8 speed auto.
Which should be plenty.
This is more power than the Accord or Mazda 6. But similar to the Camry V6 and Buick Regal GS.
And still slower than a 2.0T Accord.
Hope it is AWD. FWD would ruin it.
Vince, does it have AWD?
The thing is that GM annonced they killed the 2021 Regal…
This is looking much more promising than the Limited with it's barely adequate 1.6 turbo with 180hp.I am also glad the big wings and other common exaggerated sporty design enhancements are absent. The extra power and more than likely firmer suspension tuning is all it needs. Just hope the cost is competitive with other manufacturers top trim offerings.
But..but…but I thought horsepower does not matter. What's wrong with only 180 horses? It should be plenty.
Sonata “N” will be a welcome entry with many underpowered midsize non luxury models in the U.S. market. The Accord 2.0T and Camry V6 are the only ones that have good performance now. VW Passat and Arteon are dogs in the performance department! Sad!
