2006 Ford Fusion

Last Updated:

That is one good looking sedan.

It should be doing well against the Camry, Accord and Altima.

But these guys aren’t asleep either, and they will be all new withing a couple of years…

At least Ford has now a really good looking car. Much more like the European Mondeo than the Taurus.

And the 3.0Liter V6 is a very decent engine. Besides what all the press is saying.

The base engine is the Mazda 2.3Liter engine with 160hp.

  1. The chrome around the taillights is much to wide. It’s like pretty women who wear too much makeup. The inside is very nice and typical for the market segment. Now how can we convice Ford to bring that fantastic European Focus to the States? I’m tired of Ford treating us like a red-headed step-child by tossing us it’s design crumbs.

  2. I think the Focus has moved up market, and would be too expensive for the US.
But at the same time, I am sure they could find a way to make it work.
The old European Focus was much more up market than the one here.

I just hope the redesigned 2006 Crown Victoria looks like a giant version of the Vision.

  3. Ford of Europe must market their Focus differently than here in the States where it’s at the bottom tier (my friend calls it the Ford “Fuc*us”). Perhaps that’s not the case in, say, England or Germany. Since petrol is so expensive there, I’m guessing smaller cars are what more people drive and must be pretty darn good vehicles to compete with one another. The bottom tier over the big pond must be those micro mini cars instead of the Focus.

  4. That’s right! Over here in Europe the lack of space and gas prices force us to buy smaller, but worthier cars. I myself drive a loaded Citroën C3 diesel with automated stickshift, glass roof and leather. It costed me as much as a decent SUV in your country, but that’s the way it is here.
