Lincoln MKS

Last Updated:

I will see it at the L.A show and report here on it with pictures and videos.
It does seem pretty nice already on these uncovered spy shots.

  1. Five years late to the game. And what nasty neighborhood in New York or Chicago were those pictures taken? Not very classy Ford.

  2. Well its definitely derivative and a pretty safe way to try and get lincoln back in the luxury car market. I fear it will not stack up well against its luxury competitors with bigger HP and RWD. But, with the new green thing maybe the MPG advantage (if there is one), can be a selling point.

  3. It is about time Lincoln begins to get its act together. It’s still not a Cadi CTS but its a huge step in the right direction.

  4. I’ll wait to see what the Lincoln is like when it’s ‘released’ unlike many of you who make judgments that are unfounded…!
A world obessed with global warming and fuel efficiency, i see Ford doing the right thing and producing more efficient and powerful V6 drivetrains with turbos to suit perfomance applications.

  5. The thick chrome band behind the rear window and the chrome strip under both doors is straight from the Malibu (which copied Lexus). Nothing new here.

And those don’t look exactly like spy shots with the film crew truck in front of it. Notice, too, three other Ford products in that shot with a BMW thrown in the mix. Interesting.

  6. Presenting the Lincoln Taurus/500/S80…

The LS was a step in the right direction….but never followed through….but this is a step in the wrong direction…especially

When the Zephyr concept was paraded around the auto circuit, everyone raved about the design. But once it was released, the dumbed-down frumpy style and marginal performance was disappointing. Lincon sure knows how to tease us with promises. But because Lincon production vehicles continue to be so uncompetitive, we’ve learned not to get our hopes up. With the exception of the MkVII, Lincoln has been neglected by Ford and hasn’t had a non-SUV hit in at least three decades. What’s the point in being cautiously optimistic anymore?

  8. I’ve seen more pics of this car on autoblog.com. I think it looks great. One thing I do HATE though is that Lincoln put their emblem on the side of the front fender below the side view mirror. It may be just me but I think this is SUPER cheesey. If I bought one of these the first thing I would do is go to an autobody shop, have it removed and have any rivet holes filled in. I wonder if Lincoln looked at the car after it was done and said…OH CRAP…we forgot to put side vents on it,so the quick cheap fix was to put the emblem on the side to mock a vent. I’ll bet that’s probably not the reason though. They’re probably proud of their new creation. Which they should be. It’s nice. Just remember Lincoln…this is’nt one of your GAWDY luxo SUV’s where people want all kinds of cheesy crap on it. It’s supposed to be a great looking, SOPHISTICATED, luxury, maybe even sporty type car.

Vince, I like the changes you’ve made to your website.

  9. Thanks, I was going to ask people if they liked the changes.
I don’t want to change it too much. I don’t like when I go to a site and one morning it’s all new.
And I must say, Blogger is a bitch to work with.
And the ads are very hrd to control.
    But I’m trying.

Please tell how different this MKS is to the concept that was shown??
The MKZ has proven to be a good seller, so not sure what your on about there?
I guess you could continue to be
negative about future product launches, i prefer to wait until a vehicle has actually been released, then you can be completely justified in a negative review once you have seen the car and driven it, until then then no body can judge actually.
    true?

You did well. I like how we don’t have to open yet another webpage to click a link so we can post comments.

Too bad this Lincoln isn’t as updated as your Blogger site.

Let’s just call this Lincoln the new Cadillac Cimarron.
