2010 Kia Sorento

To me, this looks cheaper than the current model.
It’s not really ugly, but nothing special either.
Again, Kia will have to rely on “being cheaper” instead of “being better”….

Depreciation DISASTER.
I just bought a Subaru Forester.
The current one looks like the 1998-2002 Lexus RX300. I’ve seen tons of customized Sorentos with Lexus-style grilles and clear taillights that look better than the old RX.
This looks like a Suzuki Grand Vitara.
Looks like it’s standing on its tip-toes.
Vince,
This is undoubtedly the base model. How about you reserve your comments until you see a higher spec model? The base Outlander looks cheap, the base RAV4 looks cheap, the base Santa Fe looks cheap.
Catch my drift?
Geez…
wow, how underwhelming….
wow. i was skeptical on the front end, but that rear is disgusting. looks like a yaris hatch mixed with a minivan. the front is gorgeous compared to that rear.
yuck yuck yuck. gross.
No kidding this is nothing special! That’s the best they could do? From that second photo, this “new” Sorento looks just like my 4 year-old Honda CR-V without the tire on the back! Real original…
I actually think this looks pretty good.
I think everyone has forgotten that this looks like the base model, and that is why it looks bad. No fog lights, smaller wheels, unpainted trim, untinted windows. This screams base model.
The rear end looks like its big brother.

Are you sure you even have a CR-V? I have a 5 year old CR-V and the rear end looks NOTHING like this. The tail lamps are vertical and the license plate is off to the left.
Maybe you should go take another look at your car, chief.

Wow, what a moronic comment.
You care about resale, but you bought a Subaru??? Subaru has the worst resale of all Japanese manufacturers next to Mitsubishi.
depreciation kings bring out another dud. much better then any current toyota or honda though

Well the latter two must be better vehicles if they arn’t depreciation duds.
Its OK…I like the look of the current one
Does the higher spec model have different sheet metal?
Geez…
Has Kia ever made anything other than a base model of anything? Even if they add leather and a sunroof they all still look like base models.
It looks too plain. The back lights seem to not fit with its overall design.
Can the loser that keeps copying other peoples comments and then critiquing them with his own slobering dribble just get a life or go away? Nobody gives a flip what you think.
The back end doesn’t quite live up to the front or side profiles, but it does give the Sorrento a familial reference to its big brother the Borrego – for better or worse.
pooper is right what a dud, and I am not a fan of arrogant toyota or honda either. Hey, toyota had the balls to go after the Jap. govn’t for cash???? they are the most cash rich company on the planet.
It looks as though a New Forte and A Honda Pilot got drunk at a party and 9 months later UH OH!!!
It could be worse, it could have been american designed.
It could be worse, it could have been american designed.
It already looks American designed judging by that over heavy rear end.

Hi, I am here to stay. Deal with it or find another site.
I, unlike just about every other poster on this site, is in the automotive industry. My comments are from an insiders perspective.
I too are in the automotive industry, its good to hear from the inside and outside perspective.
However, the odd comment is rather pointless and a waste of time for discussion.
just like everything else on the road…..and also, every automaker is copying everyone else, look at the Honda Accord, which is a copy of many bmw elements…..so get use to it…..or maybe u can buy a Afla Romeo, which is different form other car makers
Vince, It looks like you have a lot of Kia sales people checking out your website just by all the defensive comments they have posted here.
Hey, At least it looks better than the newly undesigned Honda Pilot!
Ha true there seems to be a few Kia salesman here who can’t handle a bit of critisism, most of it constructive.
The rear seems to be a carbon copy of the Dodge Journey. So unimaginative. I thought Peter Schreyer was the supposed to be “the sh*t.”
Ok, vince stop typing in the anonymous parts
