2011/12 Hyundai Veloster

Interesting picture in another color than white.
Plus, you can see a glass panel roof.

This could be a really nice car. A 2 door hatchback with one door longer than the other for rear seat access, a glass roof, hatch, a modern design…
It could turn out to be what the CR-Z was supposed to be…

  1. It looks like there is a Mini Cooperesque suicide door on the passenger side. Is there also one on the drivers side?

I like these doors on the RX8. The driver needs a door like that for throwing groceries and backpack into the back seat without adjusting the damn drivers seat. All coupes should have double doors.

  2. What's better with this Veloster than the CR-Z? Power? FE I don't think will exceed CR-Z except highway probably.

Styling I don't really like of the Veloster and just like the CR-Z bit too small.

  3. Hyundai has been an a roll lately, but I just think this one is a little to funky to be a hit. Maybe I am just out of touch. If Nissan is selling those ugly Jukes, maybe this is what the younger kids want.

Hyundai has vowed to match or exceed Honda's FE figure.

The high performance trim of the Veloster is rumored to have a 180+HP turbo four cylinder. The CR-Z should have a performance version, it is silly that it doesn't.

  5. vince, it is a 3 door, yes there is a long door on the drivers side and two short ones on the passenger side ! they show pics of the rear pass door
