2021 Genesis G70

This is just an illustration. but you know the new G70 is already scheduled for a “facelift” to align its design to the revised G90 and new G80.
Which is a weird way to launch an all-new brand in my opinion.
Especially for those who were gutsy enough to spend over $60 000 in the new Genesis G90. Just to see it extensively revised less than 2 years later…
So I guess a revision like the one pictured above isn’t going to help sales of the current G70.
I guess they “must all have the same face” at any cost.
I don't think whatever we'll get will look this good. It's too complex (and expensive) for a midcycle facelift, especially the rear.
Definitely an improvement front and back. The LED DRL is a huge improvement and very upmarket too.
This Genesis grille is very similar in shape to the new Acura grille. I suppose it's a case of "which came first".
It is an identity thing to have all the grills match!

Is there any confirmation as to when this mid-cycle refresh is going to take place? Some time in 2020 as a 2021 model or in 2021 as a 2022 model? If we are to assume it will be a 2021 model refresh, we are just 9 months from this change… It gives me pause to purchase a G70 now…
