2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV: official photos and info…

Even though it’s quite busy, I think the new 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV looks great.
Not sure why, but I can also see something retro about it. Maybe the proportions?
The whole thing looks like it has a great presence. Same thing inside. Not the simplest design, but it seems very impressive and upscale.
As usual, Chevrolet will offer too many versions IMO.
Besides the super sporty top-of-the-line SS model, you will be able to pick between 1LT, 2LT, and RS.
The top photo is the LT model. While the white is the RS and the red one is the SS.
While I like the simplicity (and lack of black trim) of the LT, it is really sad to see that the gold bow tie is still there. I mean really…
Weirdly enough, the new Blazer EV will be offered as FWD, RWD, or AWD. Not sure why they need to offer both RWD and FWD versions? It seems like a very costly way to do things.
– The Base LT1 will come with FWD and a 247 miles range.
– Base LT2 is available with AWD and a larger battery with 290 miles as options. – – – The RS model comes with either FWD, RWD, or AWD. With a maximum range of 320 miles.
– The LT1 starts at $45 000. – – 2LT starts at $47 500. – – – RS will be $52 000.
And the SS will start at $66 000
While these aren’t cheap, they are mostly in line with the competition. And also need to make room for the cheaper Equinox EV that will start at around $30 000, and will probably go up to over $40 000.
So far these look great. The electric ranges available are fine. GM already mentioned that eventually, it will just be called “Blazer”. Since it will just take over the ICE version sooner than later…
The RS version might be the wiser choice as it doesn't look cheap compared to the LT versions and is not crazy expensive like the SS which just starts at $60,000. The SS doesn't seem to come standard with a pano roof.
The Equinox is given the "bait" price of $30,000 but we all know the more desirable version will be a lot more money.
Like the Chevy Bolt, GM should reconsider lowering the price of all the Blazer trims. The Caddy Lyriq will cost $65,000 with most toys and hold its value longer.
Having FWD and RWD options is odd, but it shouldn't cost GM any more in engineering. It's just electric motors and AWD is also an option. Personally for my use I'd rather have the FWD version vs RWD.
In the Blazer EV we have yet another EV in the $45,000+++ range. Are we ever going to see sub-$40k EVs? The cheap Tesla Model 3 never came about, and the Chevy Equinox EV for $30k is realistically 2 years away. The updated Bolts are great, but GM has already signaled that they are out the door in a few years.
Vince – We all know that you have bills to pay and that there has to be a lot of advertising on your site.
But the layout and design of the ads has taken over the site content – making it difficult to get through. Your text is being broken up and scattered on the page (in between the advertising), and the result is that the reader struggles to make the text anything close to coherent.
Is there ANYTHING that can be done? I've been viewing your site for years (and don't want to leave). But things have gotten way of control.
To be honest, it's become a real mess (sorry).
About the crazy ads…
I know it's been out of control lately, ( I think it's even worse on the phone)
My team has been working on it. There will be big changes to the site soon. It's been taking forever. But I'm working on making the site better, yet familiar.
I cannot control these ads (content or actual placement) myself. Google is doing all this automatically. Hopefully, the upcoming changes to the site will fix most of that insanity.
i think this things looks great, inside and out.
I'm not a fan of the big tablet dashboards , but it looks fantastic , especially with the surrounding chrome round airvents. It looks like a cockpit and i could see myself enjoying time behind the wheel and not get tired of it.
Nice greenhouse. I love an earth shattering greenhouse. Honda needs a thing or two how to design greenhouses not seen on the road everyday such as the 2023 Sportage. Another greenhouse that turns heads.
