Future Jeep EVs
Last Updated:
Jeep has already announced its lineup will be 50% EVs in the US by 2030. They showed us the upcoming Recon and Wagoneer S concepts last year. These 2 models will be based on the new STLA EV platform and are scheduled to start production next year.
Europe already has the Avenger Compact EV, which is not coming to the US. It is Jeep’s first EV for the European market, where the brand will be fully electric by 2030, before the North American market.
A fully electric Wrangler is inevitable and will be coming after the Recon and Wagoneer S in the US. While the new Recon sort of looks like a next-generation Wrangler, it will actually be a bit cheaper than the new Wrangler EV and will not compete with it directly.
The second photo is an illustration of what an EV version of a future Jeep Compass or Cherokee could look like. And you know it’s coming, as Jeep isn’t really ready to abandon the market of a less rugged-looking SUV competing with the CR-V and RAV-4.
If only the quality were as good as the design.
If you can’t fold the windshield down any 4×4 will do.
DAAAAAMN- That compact EV illustration is beautiful!
