Buick Envista test drive.

Last Updated:

I will be driving a new Buick Envista for the coming week.

It is the “sportier” ST model that starts at $24 100. With a bunch of options, including a sunroof, larger black 19-inch wheels, and much more, for a total of $29 000. Which is still very reasonable.

So far, I haven’t driven it much but it seems very smooth and quiet, and the interior is very impressive. Mostly due to the very impressive double-screen setup.

As usual, I will try to answer any questions you might have about the Buick Envista experience.

  1. I think it has a 3cyl turbo engine. Can you talk about whether it runs out of steam as you’re merging at highway speeds? Also, what is the interior seating quality for comfort and materials like? Thanks. – CX

  2. The Envista has no wiper on the back hatch glass. (The Trax does, although its hatch has a different, more vertical shape.) What is rearward visibility like when it’s raining? Thanks.
