2026 Honda Passport.

Last Updated:

This new spy shot of the redesigned 2026 Honda Passport shows the off-road TrailSport trim.

Honda had a great idea a few years ago to add the TrailSport trim to the aging Passport, then later to the new Pilot. I think the off-road bits look quite good on the “classic” Passport design. I test-drove one again recently and it is a very nice SUV. However, it is now almost 6 years old, which isn’t that old. But it is based on the previous generation Honda Pilot that came out in 2015.

This is quite a dated design with an even more dated interior. Since it is almost exactly the same as in the 2016 Pilot.

The next-generation will of course be based off the recurrent Pilot, and will be much improved. Honda claims the new TrailSport version will be their most off-road cabable SUV yet.

The new Passport interior will probably be very close to the current generation Pilot, as expected. The best news is it will probably retain the current generation super smooth 3.5 Liter V6, in a world where the good old V6 is diseapearing. Even the next generation Murano is rumored to get a 2.0 Liter Turbo.

However, by now, you would think they had their act together to offer some kind of electrification…

  1. This should be what the CRV looks like. The newest model looks like nothing. Also the HRV is anonymous. I see current generation Toyota RAV4s everywhere, but the last generation CRV and HRV are all I see from Honda. Obviously going to bland styling didn’t help.

  2. this picture looks a little muted and old to me… plus the lights are not correct at all, you can see through the camouflage. I would like to see the rear of the car… looks like it might have a little potential… now I can’t tell… are the mirrors on the pillar still, or did they move them down to the door? I like them on the door more, like Buicks

  3. What’s his name at the top you’re wrong I live in the Chicago area and there’s new crv’s and hrv’s everywhere. I have a 2021 Honda passport and any time I need to take my vehicle in for maintanance I take it to the Honda dealership that I bought the vehicle from and while I wait I check out all the vehicles on the lot and I noticed that all models as far as the crv, passport, and pilot pretty much all look the same the only major difference is the size. Even the ridgeline is pretty much a pilot with a bed on it.

  4. Idk who comes up with these renderings. The Passport won’t look anything like the current Pilot. (inside/out different car)

  5. Sorry, but that is a poorly done photohack of the CR-V, and looks NOTHING like the preview photo being circulated by Honda.
