2026 Kia Sportage.

Last Updated:

This new illustration of the 2026 Kia Sportage looks very close to the above spy shot of the real thing.

It seems Kia is in a rush to adopt the EV9 front on all of their current models as soon as possible. Whether it fits the rest of the design or not, which is almost comical.

At least it’s been working so far, with the revised Carnival minivan and the Sorento SUV. I guess it will be fine on the current Sportage since it already has one of the weirdest front-end designs on any car today.

While the new face could actually be an improvement, the interior is not expected to receive more than a few small improvements. With probably an even larger screen.

Powertrains will probably also be the same as the current model.

With over 140,000 of them sold last year, the Sportage is Kia’s most popular model in the US. Closely followed by the Kia Forte sedan with 124,000 units. That number bodes well for the Forte’s upcoming replacement, the very impressive Kia K4, which will be available in the US as both a sedan and a hatchback.

  1. Makes it look smaller and lower.
More of a CUV than SUV styling, which I like.
Leaves the Sorrento and Seltos with more SUV styling.

  2. Looks better than today’s front end, but we’ll see if this makes it to the LWB model in North America.
