2025 Kia Sportage.

Last Updated:

Just when you thought they might take a break, there’s more. Always more. It seems Kia and Hyundai have a constant flow of new or revised cars and SUVs coming out, all the time.

Today we are taking a look at the revised 2025 Kia Sportage. As expected, it will adopt the new “Kia face” with vertical headlights and a similar grille to all current Kia models. A trend that started with the Kia EV9 and is quickly invading the whole current lineup.

The Sportage‘s new front end will end up looking a lot like the 2025 Kia Carnival or the 2024 Kia Sorento. Which, as you can see, is completely different from the current face. Although it seems the clever redesign might not require new front fenders or hood.

The current Sportage front end was pretty controversial (that’s a code word for “weird and disturbing”) when it came out. And I’m sure the redesign could make it a bit more popular and less disturbing to many.

The Sportage has been getting mostly great reviews in the US, with many journalists putting it at the top of their compact SUV list. With over 140,000 units sold in 2023, it is more popular than ever. That new face and revised interior could push these numbers even higher.

  1. The current generation of the Sportage is quite hideous, no matter what Kia decides to do to it. The previous generation was so much better looking than this unfortunate looking mess.
With a few exceptions, vehicle design has entered its worst period ever.

  2. Ugly look again. The car deserves a nicer look, even this new one is a mess. I do not like.

  3. I disagree. I rather like the look of the current sportage and the possible upcoming changes.. Its not going to look great to everyone /shrug
