2026 Honda Passport TrailSport.

Last Updated:

The current Honda Passport is one of the oldest Honda models since it started production in late 2018. However, it i even older since it is basically a 2 row version of the 2016 Pilot.

While Honda has changed the front and rear ends a couple of times since the interior is having a hard time keeping up with more recent models.

We have seen a few spy shots of prototypes testing around in the last few months and we all know a new Passport is on its way. Today Honda has released a teaser for the next generation Passport. However, it will be a 2026 model and not 2025. Which seems a bit odd.

We can’t tell much from the illustration teaser above, except the Trailsoprt model will probably still have a huge plasticky grille. Or not?

It seems the word “Passport” will be plastered right under the new grille and things could maybe look more interesting than the current version. It also seems Honda will try to make the new Passport a bit more different from the current Pilot, at least outside. The interior is expected to be very similar to the Pilot. And the good news is it will also probably keep its super smooth but very thirsty 3.5 Liter V6. Honda isn’t saying much yet, except this:

“The development of the next-generation Passport Trailsport – the most adventure ready and capable Honda SUV yet – is underway. With a truly rugged design, authentic off-road capability, next-level versatility and innovative features, the 2026 Honda Passport is set for arrival early next year.

Signaling a new appetite for big adventures, the teaser previews Passport’s unique front fascia with “PASSPORT” boldly embossed across the fascia under the upper grille, and new TrailSport-exclusive signature amber daytime running lights.”

  1. Why is it “odd” that it will be a 2026 when it’s not being sold until some time in 2025…?

  2. 2025’s are already coming out. Too late. Of course its a 2026. The real issue will be whether we’ll see any appreciable number of these on lots. There’s never any Pilots at the three local dealerships.
