2026 BMW 3 series.

BMW has been hard at work on a new 3-series sedan. And these illustrations above show us what it could look like.

It also shows what a worst-case scenario could look like. As they showed us the really nice and interesting-looking Neue Klasse sedan concept last year. Which is thought to influence their future designs. The images above show a watered-down version of that concept blended with the current 5 series design cues. Resulting in another revolting BMW sedan design.

Which is the opposite of what they need right now. What they need is a production version of the Neue Klasse design. Not another blend of their current crappy and quite vulgar designs.

The Neue Klasse design will come to production as the new BMW i3 sedan. While the “regular” 3 series will be based on a totally different platform. The i3 will therefore be roomier than the next 3 series since its new EV platform will allow for a longer wheelbase.

This basically means the next 3 series could end up looking like a smaller 5 series. As usual. Which I guess is what BMW buyers want. For those who will be looking for something truly modern, the new i3 will be the real new BMW to get.

At least, the Neue Klass influence probably means the end of the ever-growing BMW grille. Which would be a good thing.

  10. Yes agree completely with you on look is revolting. Only front grill from concept. All else from current designs. Big disappointment if this is future.
