2026 Chrysler Halcyon SUV.
Last Updated:
Chrysler is now officially talking about a new SUV based on the Halcyon concept from last year. This illustration gives us an idea of what it could look like.
Chrysler’s CEO, Christine Feuell mentioned a few new products coming up for the brand. Currently, Chrysler only offers the Pacifica Minivan. Sure, different versions are available, like a PHEV, regular V6, FWD and AWD. But it is still just one model for a whole brand. And that’s pretty sad…
“Chrysler is here to stay, it is being well invested in. It has a very bright future”. Which is great news. However, it also sounds a bit like what Ford was saying about Mercury a few decades ago…
Apparently, the futuristic Halcyon concept will inspire a new SUV. This sounds a bit weird since the concept looked like a really low futuristic sports sedan. It will use the same platform as the new 2025 Dodge Charger and many other Stellantis models. Which means a Hybrid would be possible as well as a pure EV.
A new SUV is a no-brainer to restart a brand. It seems any SUV will sell these days. From any brand. If Chrysler can find a way to come up with an attractive futuristic design for their new SUV, I say why not!
The brands need something, anything. I think they did a great job with the 2025 Charger and gave it amazing vintage Dodge DNA. It seems retro is not in the card for Chrysler and that’s fine. As long as it has some personality.
Christine Feuell also mentioned a sedan is being developed based on the concept and a new generation of the Pacifica Minivan.
I will have more on these later…
According to the latest report, it’s said that the Chrysler Halcyon is to go in production, and be “industrialized”. Along with that, a “large” crossover, and an updated Pacifica. The two Halcyon models (sedan & crossover) will likely be STLA Large based, and perhaps be offered in all-electric and a Hurricane 3.0L twin-turbo in-line six variant, maybe even in hybrid form, too. This is something to look forward to and at least Chrysler is not being neglected.
This model is OK. The damage from Chrysler building unreliable and fuel inefficient vehicles thru the years created a bad taste in buyers market. The last Chrysler I bought was in 1998. Dodge Intrepid (garbage). So no more Chryslers for me.
Vince thanks for all the great info about vehicles thru the years.
I’m sorry about the wild fires going on in CA. We are praying for you. Stay Strong.
I really am happy Chrysler is mot being thrown away. ..Its a famous name , if not legend that akways added something interesting to.the world of vehicles.
This Hakcyon looks very sharp , aa Chrysler designs were .
Excellent name , and no dam numbers.
It’s most gratifying that a sedan is coming.
Many still want a CAR , including myself.
The appeal of ugly Crossovers which I do not like to drive as high , boxy ( not real SUV) , while being short , with that wagon opening is beyond me ..
Wish it was Newport- New Yorker & IMPERIAL!
No.US luxury maker has a large car , only in China, or 300.000.$ Celesque at Cadillac with an atrocious hatch .
Do it Chrysler, make it excellent.
That’s great in all, but I honestly feel they need to get a Midsize Truck going 🤔 either bring the Damn Rampage to the States or bring the Dakota back, and make it a mini Version of the full size RAM. they need to do something because Ford & Toyota needs they’re asses handed to them. I’m just saying
