2026 Volvo XC60.
Last Updated:

The Volvo XC60 SUV just got a few small changes for the e2026 model year, which is exactly what it needed.
After about 8 years on the market, the current generation XC60 still looks great. And Volvo was smart enough not to ruin it. They are still planning a full EV lineup for a few years, however, they know it might take a bit longer. Their current models like the XC90 and XC60 are still very popular and it would be dumb to cancel them altogether.
At the same time, Volvo probably cannot afford an all-new generation that would take a few years to design and develop. These small changes to the XC90 and XC60 are the best solution.
And they work mainly because after all these years, these designs still look very good and modern. And actually nicer than the competition.
The new screen is the only change I can spot inside. Which again is great since that interior is still one of the best around. new cupholders, new infotainment system, a quieter cabin, and some new materials. This is all it needed after all these years.
Let’s hope pricing changes a bit to make the PHEV model a bit more affordable. Since it is currently a very high $11,000 premium over the base model. Even when leasing the PHEV is about $200 more a month. Which doesn’t really make any sense…

Of course, after 8 years it would also be nice to get something a bit more modern-looking. That will be the job of the all-new XC50 PHEV. and later, the new EX60 EV.
For now, Volvo proves again that a great design can last many, many years.
