2026 Dodge Charger Daytona Sedan.
Last Updated:

We saw a preview of this car last year when the new Dodge Charger Coupe was introduced. Now we see the new sedan in all of its glory. An amazing modern design with a little bit or retro 1960’s/70’s feel.
Just like the 2 door Charger coupe, the new sedan is also a hatchback, with 38.5 cubic feet of cargo space available. Since the R/T model has been discontinued for the 2026 model year, the only trim available for now is the Scat Pack with 670HP. Al that crazy power takes a toll on the range which is now 240 miles, while the less powerful R/T could get around 300 miles.
I guess the Charger R/T model was selling far less than the crazy Scat Pack for some reason . But I still think this gorgeous design should be far more popular with less powerful and cheaper versions available. This is a Dodge after all, not an AMG.
They really need to offer less powerful GT RWD versions of this car. A 6 cylinder Turbo model is coming soon, and even if less expensive than the Scat pack EV, it won’t be cheap. They need a trim that replaces the old “regular” Charger and Challenger if they really want to sell this in decent numbers. This would be a fantastic looking sedan, EV or gas, for around $40,000.
This gorgeous design deserves more than a few overpriced, overpowered cars for donut obsessed numbskulls. It needs to be a popular sedan most of us can afford. In a world where a loaded Accord or Camry already cost over $42,000, there has to be room for something with much more personality.
A solid state battery is being tested for this model; it should provide more range with a faster charging speed. The smart choice is to wait.
No one cares about this car in BEV form. The four door is the right direction. But with the 6cylinder engine, its going to sell. Right now, its holding down the pavement of your local Dodge dealer.
